While searching for a location to shoot, I came across Arizona Falls. This restored hydroelectric dam on the Arizona Canal looked to be a perfect location to play with some late-afternoon shadows and possibly even water… but there was no water to speak of when we arrived. Fortunately the original 110+ year old gears and piping were now fully exposed and made for an even more interesting backdrop than we had expected!
All told the shoot was a great success and the colors and tones we managed in the sunlight and shadows were even better than I could’ve hoped for. I hope you enjoy.
