Boy, have things changed. According to my own website, I haven’t posted anything besides Bring a Trailer photos since 2019. Now, I get it. 2020 wasn’t the best year for anyone, and since then we moved back to California, shut down the Average Squad website, I’ve become a father, and I’ve been (thankfully) staying pretty damn busy in 2022 and 2023. The change in scenery has also meant a change in the number of for-fun shoots the last 3 years - namely zero.
Thankfully, a recent trip to visit friends and family in Georgia had just enough time to rustle up James’ and Lee’s Miatas - James’ I’ve only seen in photos online and Lee’s I haven’t shot in t e n y e a r s. It was an absolute joy to meet up with some longtime friends, talk cars, and take photos in a very PNW-esque drizzle - from the new QT down the block to Downtown Macon to a 2-lane backroad, every minute was a blast.
Now, I don’t have a mod list or anything (besides the perfect pairing of Equip 01 and 02s) and there’s no backstory of how each found their Miata under a layer of hay in a barn or out behind an old shed, but I hope you guys enjoy some of my favorite photos in a long while.
